Vessel cables produced in TF Kable occupy an important position in the portfolio of products dedicated to the shipbuilding industry. These types of cables have been offered by our group from the beginning of the 1990s. Experience gathered from relationships with European and Far-Eastern shipyards has resulted in the development of light and compact cables with high flexibility for easy installation in tight spaces.
Operational safety of the cables in the extreme maritime conditions is another very important aspect. Therefore, all existing cables have halogen-free covers which do not spread flame and do not emit harmful gases during fires. We offer fire resistant cables ensuring long-lasting operation in a specified time under fire conditions for safety circuits, e.g. emergency power to light escape routes.
The cables are tested in our modern fire-testing laboratory (the Kraków-Wieliczka plant), equipped with the necessary equipment and accessories for testing in accordance with global standards (IEC 60331 - test of the continuity of insulation in case of fire, IEC 60332 - test of spreading flame on harnesses and single sample, IEC 61034 - test of density of emitted smoke, IEC 60754 - test of emission of corrosive gases, etc.). Our specialist construction and technology teams work to produce optimally low-weight cables with the minimum possible outer diameter, allowing for easy cable installation in the installation channels of a vessel.
The quality of our cables is guaranteed by certification from many of the most reputable certifying units in the world, such as Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyd's Register, Det Norske Veritas, the Polish register of vessels, Registro Italiano Navale, American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, ClassNK.
